Dynamical development of nuclear energy in the Far East
Description
The Pacific Asia is the region with the highest industrial growth in the world. The foundation for this must be a secure power supply whose structuring must be planned for the long term. 70 Nuclear power plants are in operation in this geographical region, 12 are in the course of construction and at least 65 further are planned up to the year 2020. The focus of research in some countries is to solve the disposal problem, to secure the peaceful use of the plutonium and to replace fossil fuels by high temperature and heating reactors also for the thermal market. 7 figs., 6 refs
