Linear momentum transfer and particles emission in HIC
Creators
Description
The linear momentum transfer produced in heavy ion collision has been extensively studied with the different model. It is well known that the incomplete fusion mainly comes from the preequilibrium particles emission, which carries away the part of linear momentum, and the number of emitted particle sensitively depend on the impact parameters which may be a reason of producing LMT distribution. In this contribution, the authors have calculated the multiplicities of emitted nucleons and the momentum transferred to the target residue by means of the BUU model for various impact parameters. The time evaluation of LMT for 40Ca + 40Ca reaction system at 42 MeV/u incident energy is given, in which the effect of impact parameters has been explicitly seen
