Maintenance Optimization Process: AP913 Revision for EDF Nuclear Power Plants – Optimization Method for Maintenance Programs: Implementation on Some Nuclear Power Plants Equipment [PowerPoint presentation]
Description
Optimization of preventive maintenance programs : the context: • In the 1990 s, RCM was applied to critical systems of NPP, with the objective of reducing costs along with ensuring the required levels of safety and availability (predetermined preventive maintenance → condition monitoring). • In 2007, unsatisfactory availability factor leads launching AP 913 project based on Exelon application of INPO AP 913. – Objective: decrease unplanned unavailability factor. • Since 2016, unplanned unavailability factor is suitable but preventive maintenance volume has increased and may have an effect on shutdown duration. – A project is in progress in order to reduce the volume of maintenance along with ensuring the required safety and control unplanned unavailability. – EDF ' AP 913 method has been reviewed to mix robust RCM principles and convenient AP 913 solutions Optimization of preventive maintenance programs: the context
