Description
Line of γ-radiation of the energy Eγ=11.3 MeV was detected during experimental researches at nuclear reactor on the investigation into characteristics of energetic spectrum of γ-quanta following by the process of fission in the range of energy >10 MeV. The most probable source of this line is a consequence of radiation capture reaction of thermal neutrons at nuclei 59Ni accumulated in corrosion-resistant steel as a result of more than 20-years irradiation in the reactor because of reaction 58Ni(n, γ)59Ni. As it was determined the concentration of 59Ni comprised 0.47% of the concentration of 58Ni nuclei on thermal neutron fluence of 1021 cm -2
