Confinement, additional heating (NBI, LHH, ECH), and current drive of stellarator plasma in JIPP T-II
Description
Confinement, additional heating, and current drive of ohmically heated plasma in stellarator field were studied by use of the JIPP T-II device. Current drive in stellarator plasma by lower hybrid wave is observed in the case of low-density plasma. The efficiency of current drive is approximately 0.3 kA/kW at the power level of 40 kW and is less than 1 kA/kW observed in tokamak plasma. 14 refs
