Interaction of fusion α's with nonlinear plasma structures
Description
The interaction of the α particles produced in the fusion reaction with high-frequency, one-dimensional magnetic acoustic solitons and low-frequency, two-dimensional drift vortices is analyzed in the approximation of a straight and uniform magnetic field. This interaction is shown to amplify these plasma structures. This amplification may result in an additional diffusion of particles of the fusion plasma and a heat loss
