Description
After a list of news, the first issue of this newsletter proposes discussion of political and strategic issues for North America (main orientations of the US Congress within the framework of the vote for the National Defense Appropriation Act or NDAA), the Middle-East (the Russian speech after the agreement of the 14 July on the Iranian nuclear), and Asia (towards a non-resolution of the THAAD issue or the always more ambiguous attitude of North Korea). It also addresses technical, technological and industrial issues (FY 2014 report of the DOT and E with test assessments), the situation of the USA antimissile defence with its budget evolutions, acquisitions and R and D during 2015-2016. After a list of news, the next issue addresses political and strategic issues for North America (role of missiles and anti-missiles in the American strategic thinking), Europe (the 14 July agreement and the degradation of the relationship with Russia), and Asia (evolution of threats for Singapore). Technical, technological and industrial informations concern a first successful interception with the distributed architecture of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System or IBCS, and measures taken by Russia in electronic and electromagnetic warfare. In the next issue, after a list of news, political and strategic issues concerning North America (Left of launch or another antimissile defence), Europe (proliferating states as main justification of antimissile defence in Europe, the long construction of the Russian antimissile defence architecture), and Asia (the possibly fast evolving threat of North Korea). Technical, technological and industrial issues concern the FY 2015 DOT and E report (test assessments), and the use of laser in antimissile missions. After a list of news, the fourth issue addresses political and strategic issues for North America, the Asia/Pacific region (Australia as an example of transition towards IAMD. Technical, technological and industrial issues address the administrative description of the US antimissile defence architecture, and various tests
