Misalignment angles' reduction in Bi2212 multifilaments melted by dynamic heat treatment under a magnetic field

Description
The superconducting properties of Bi2212 multifilament tapes are directly linked to the misalignment angles. We recently developed a dynamic heat treatment under a magnetic field of 5 T to improve the texture quality of superconducting Bi2212 multifilaments. As melting in a high magnetic field reduces the misalignment angles due to magnetic anisotropy effects, good transport Jc performances have been achieved for Bi2212 tapes prepared by heat treatment under a magnetic field. The misalignment angles of the tapes are characterized by transport Jc measurements and x-ray diffraction study. The trapping properties were investigated by a magneto-optical (MO) experiment
