Mixing vane grid spacer

Description

A spacer for a nuclear fuel reactor grid is described having intersecting spring retaining strips for forming fuel element receiving openings and mixing vanes formed at selected ones of the intersections of the strips. The vanes are angularly disposed relative to the strips and overlie predetermined openings at the intersections; each has an opening located above the intersection for improving its coolant flow mixing capability
