Analytical description of solitons controlled by dispersion, by means of the Riemann problem method

Description
The obvious formula for the profile of the optical pulse propagating in the fiber with the controlled average zero dispersion is proposed. It is assumed that the dissipation is negligible and dispersion is constant on the neighbouring waveguide legs which makes it possible to apply the integration models of the nonlinear Schroedinger equations on each leg. The obtained formula describes the solutions named solitons controlled by dispersion which are periodical along the waveguide and exponentially localized by time

Предложена явная формула для профиля оптического импульса, распространяющегося в волокне с управляемой дисперсией со средней нулевой дисперсией. Предполагается, что диссипация пренебрежимо мала, а дисперсия постоянна на соседних плечах волновода, что позволяет применить интегрируемые модели нелинейного уравнения Шредингера на каждом плече. Полученная формула описывает решения, называемые солитонами, управляемыми дисперсией, которые периодичны вдоль волновода и экспоненциально локализованы во времениAdditional details
