Projectile fission of 238U relativistic ions in a Pb target and discovery of new fission fragments

Description
The authors have measured the cross sections for the production of fission fragments in the fission of 750 A.MeV 238U ions colliding with a Pb target. Several new neutron-rich isotopes have been discovered by this process. (HSI)
