Cooling facility for a reactor container

Description

Purpose: To prevent a rise in the temperature of a reactor container even when raising the temperature of the coolant for reactor equipment by providing a spare cooling device within the reactor container. Constitution: A spare cooling device is provided within a reactor container, and an air duct having a control valve is provided form the outlet of the cooling device to the inlet of the cooling device so as to give a cooling function to the spare device. When the coolant temperature for the reactor equipment rises due to sea water temperature in summer, cooling air is communicated from the outlet of the cooling device through the air duct to the inlet of the cooling device, the temperature of the coolant to the cooling device is lowered, and the outlet temperature of the coolant from the cooling device is lowered. Thus, the temperature rise in the respective parts of the reactor container can be prevented less expensively when the facility and the duct are increased by taking the temperature rise of the predetermined amount of coolant into consideration.
