Description

A recent progress of hypernuclear γ-ray spectroscopy with Hyperball is described. In E930 at BNL, we observed two γ transitions pf Λ16O from the 6.5 MeV 1- state to the ground-state doublet (1-, 0-) and derived the strength of the ΛN tensor force for the first time. At KEK, we studied Λ11B with the (π+, Κ+) reaction and observed six γ transitions. We also attempted an experiment of in-beam γ spectroscopy with stopped Κ- reaction and observed a γ ray from Λ7Li hyperfragments. (author)
