Description
Geologic characteristics and spatial distribution of 'intersection'-type uranium deposits in Xiazhuang area are introduced. From the point view of economic geology it is suggested that orebodies in intersection-type uranium deposits are characterized by concentrated distribution, shallow buried depth, certain amount of reserves, as well as simple ore composition, high grade and high leachability of uranium, and possess good potential for mining. Based on technological tests of uranium ores and the calculation of recovery cost of uranium metal, the author makes economic-technological evaluation of such deposits, and suggests that 'intersection'-type uranium deposits should be attributed to economically amenable deposits and should be put into mining and development
