Trends in nuclear power plant circulating pumps
Description
A survey is given of the development of pumps from conventional pumps to the high-capacity and highly reliable modern feedpumps for nuclear power plants. Certain aspects of the operation and assembly of such high-capacity pumps are described and demonstrated on concrete examples. Special attention is devoted to glands which represent one of the most complex structural assemblies. (F.M.)
