Circular dichoism in paratelluride crystal
Description
Optical characteristics of TeO2 crystals in the nearest UV and visible spectrum regions are investigated. An optical active band with maximum at 550 nm, caused by structural crystal defects, may appear depending on crystal growth conditions. Defects, occurring in the process of growth, are analogous to those ones, which occur under the action of X-ray radiation on a crystal. The investigation results permit to use the method of circular dichroism to study a defect crystal structure
