On the dynamic concentration process of radioactive substances to aquatic organisms
- 1. Kyoto Univ. (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
A concentration factor of radioactive nuclides to the aquatic organisms is affected by various factors. This paper discusses the distribution and daily change of the concentration factors. The distribution of the concentration factor of individual organisms showed the logarithmic normal distribution or the Poisson distribution. The authors attempted to explain the dynamics of concentration of radioactive substances in the organisms using a Markov process. The phenomenon was well depicted with the stationary Markov process defined by the initial distribution of the concentration factor Qi (0) and the conditional probability Pij.
