I have been invited to report on results from the experiment on HEAO-3 which was designed to measure the elemental composition of the Ultraheavy cosmic rays, i.e., nuclei with atomic number (or nuclear charge, Z) greater than 30. Before I do that, I want to take a few minutes to remind you why we designed this experiment
