Study on the radiation crosslinking of silicone rubber: Pt. 3
Description
The methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVSR) with analogous molecular weight and various contents of vinyl group has been synthesized, and in the process of radiation crosslinking the relationship between sol fraction and dose has been studied. At 0-100 kGy dose range, it was found from experiment that the variation of degree of crosslinking (q) and degree of degradation (α) with dose may be described by the following equations respectively: namely q = q0R and α = α1 + α0'R, β = 0.53 for DMSR, and β = 0.44-0.54 for MVSR with various vinyl contents. R (S + √S) vs Rβ was provided with good linear relationship. From G-values dependence of content of vinyl group (%) (G-value), 0% (2.93), 0.1% (5.14), 0.20% (5.20) and 0.435% (5.94), inter-enhancement effect of vinyl group can be known obviously. From chemical crosslinking efficiency, the content of vinyl group % (crosslinking efficiency f), 0% (0.068), 0.1% (1.218), 0.2% (1.983) and 0.435% (3.372), inter-enhancement effect is more obvious in the process of chemical crosslinking
