Evaluation of efficacy of radio-and chemoradiotherapy of esophageal tumors by means of roentgenometric method

The time course of changes in X-ray signs of esophagus carcinoma was studied in 548 patients with esophageal cancer during radio- and chemoradiotherapy. On the basis of roentgenometry of the tumor size 4 stages of therapeutic efficacy have been established: complete and incomplete regression, a stabilizing effect and progression that can be expressed in percentage. It will permit to introduce timely corrections into the therapeutic method and into the plan of further care of a patient
