Application of computation programme DSTD to determining a suitable form of thermonuclear plasma for the thermonuclear reactor controlled by fission reaction rate

Description

Several works published in the last two years endeavour to prove the feasibility of a power thermonuclear reactor. The new thermonuclear reactor operates on the principle of an unconfined free plasma in a magnetic field as in the actual thermonuclear installations. By using a previously published computer code, this work tries to deduce an adequate spatial form of the thermonuclear plasma. Since the computation programme is made for a simplified model of the thermonuclear plasma, there is no possibility of deducing any such best forms by means of this programme and so we have to be satisfied with a suitable operating forms for the new thermonuclear reactor. In this programme, the highest values supplied by the neutron system have been used for the proportionality coefficient between the fission production and the fusion production. It is emphasized here that this power thermonuclear reactor is in fact a fusion reactor, where the fission power, smaller by three orders of magnitude that the fusion power is only used for controlling the thermonuclear reactor
