Numerical simulation of evolution of nonlinear two-dimensional drift waves in a plasma
Description
Numerical methods were used to investigate in detail different modes of interaction of slow two-dimensional drift solitons and transient processes of such soliton formation from ''non-soliton'' initial state. Space-periodical nonlinear drift waves were considered. It is shown that their amplitude pulses in time and translational motion velocity is determined with mean amplitude. Decomposition of one- and two hump initial pulses was investigated as well. It is established that totality of finite number of stable axial-symmetrical drift solitons results from the decomposition
