Absorber for gaseous tritium and process for its manufacture
Description
An absorber is described which consists of zirconium and zirconium alloys and which has a coating of nickel or a nickel alloy. This absorber should absorb gaseous tritium and store it, above all to be installed in nuclear reactor elements (plenum), in order to avoid escape of tritium into the reactor coolant. The manufacture of the absorber and the associated fuel elements is described in detail. (UWI)

Es wird ein Absorptionskoerper, der aus einem Werkstoff der Gruppe Zirkon und Zirkonlegierungen besteht und einen Ueberzug aus Nickel bzw. einer Nickellegierung aufweist, beschrieben. Dieser Absorptionskoerper soll gasfoermiges Tritium absorbieren und speichern und vor allem in Kernreaktorbrennstaeben (Plenum) eingebaut werden, um den Austritt von Tritium in das Reaktorkuehlmittel zu verhindern. Die Herstellung des Absorptionskoerpers und entsprechender Brennstaebe ist ausfuehrlich beschrieben. (UWI)Files
