Exact solutions of one-dimensional Potts models in magnetic field

Description
We have obtained the exact solutions for one-dimensional standard and modified Potts models (Phase Transitions 71 (2000) 39; 72 (2000) 223) with different number of states (q states) in an external magnetic field within the framework of the Kramers-Wannier transfer matrix method. The explicit analytical expressions for thermodynamic quantities such as magnetization, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat are derived and analyzed at length as functions of temperature and magnetic field
