Nuclear design of IPEN-MB-01 critical assembly

Description
This work describes the Nuclear Design of IPEN-MB-01 Critical Assembly, which is tank types, water moderated, fueled with low enriched UO2 fuel pins and operates with a maximum power of 100 watts. The facility and its nuclear characteristics are briefly described, and the results of the nuclear design are showed in order to verify the design criteria (IAEA-SS-35). The results showed are: reactivity excess, flux distribution, reactivity coefficients; and differential and integral control rod worth. (author)

Neste trabalho e descrito o projeto nuclear da unidade critica IPEN-MB-01. O projeto resultou num conjunto critico tipo tanque moderado a agua leve, com um nucleo constituido de varetas combustiveis de dioxido de uranio de baixo enriquecimento, e com uma potencia nominal de operacao de 100 watts. No trabalho e descrito suscintamente a instalacao, as caracteristicas nucleares, e sao fornecidos os resultados do projeto nuclear, tendo em vista atender os criterios estabelecidos (IAEA-SS-35). Os resultados apresentados incluem, o excesso de reatividade, distribuicao de fluxo, coeficientes de reatividade, e valores integrais e diferenciais das barras de controle. (autor)Additional details
