Clinical characteristics and CT manifestations of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis in hospitalised patients with systemic lupus erythematosus

Highlights: • Active SLE, high-dose steroid, and immunosuppressive therapy increase risk of IPA. • Dominant CT findings are nodules/masses, consolidations, and ground-glass opacity. • CT shows characteristic signs of angioinvasive form, especially the halo sign. • Bilateral, multilobar, and upper-lobe involvement is common. To investigate clinical and computed tomography (CT) findings of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and to explore the relationships of CT findings with clinical characteristics and outcomes.
