Dosing of Caesium 137 in powdered milk

Description
This article reports the use of gamma spectrometric analysis to assess the presence of caesium 137 in powdered milk. The authors present the equipment, the operating mode (sample preparation, coupling, calculations), the calibration process (potassium present within the milk plays an important role for calibration), and discuss these issues and the obtained results. Reprint of a paper published in 'Le Lait', Nov-Dec 1959
