Production of H2 in a water vapor plasma of a hollow cathode discharge

Creators

Description

Detailed studies have been made of the number densities of the neutral consituents of the negative glow of a cylindrical hollow cathode discharge produced in water at various pressures. As a main objective the dissociation degree X(H2/H2O) in the presence of the discharge was measured as a function of the gas pressure, discharge current and various surface conditions (i.e. by varying the degree, duration and frequency of the discharge and gas renewal prior to measurement).
