Superconductivity in the compound system La-Ca(Sr)-Cu-O

Description
DC magnetic susceptibility (chi) and electrical resistivity (rho) measurements in the compound Lasub(1.8)Srsub(0.2)CuO4 prove the existence of a superconducting phase transition around Tsub(c) = 36 K in conformity with a recent report. The compounds Lasub(2-x)Casub(x)CuO4 (x = 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2) exhibit superconductivity at lower temperatures. We do not find any correlation between Tsub(c) and the size of the cation substituted at the La site. (author)
