India, China and the nuclear power
Description
This paper analyses the reasons that led India to perform nuclear weapon tests in May 1998: the come-back of India and China in the Asian economical world, the political contrasts between India and China and their historical aspects, the impact of the recent nuclear tests on the political relations with the US and on the nuclear test-ban treaty.
