Description
In cases of a suspected lesion at the level of the cranio-cervical junction, MR should be considered as the imaging technique of choice. Tumours, inflammation and degenerative processes can be reliably demonstrated and diagnosed. Administration of contrast media, for example, gadolinium-DTPA, is necessary in selected cases only. Comparing 'examination time' of X-ray myelography and high resolution X-ray CT with MR, one can well tolerate the long 'acquisition' of MR images. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
