Energy characteristics of a short-pulse S-band industrial linac
- 1. AECL Research, Chalk River Lab., Ontario (Canada)
Description
The time-averaged and time-dependent energy spectra of an S-band, standing-wave industrial linac with direct injection are examined during steady-state and stored-energy mode operation. The effective fill-time for the structure under heavy beam-loading conditions is found to be significantly shorter than that predicted from an unloaded structure. (orig.)
