Stability of a heated tungsten wire to exploding emission

Description

Processes responsible for formation of exploding plasma at high-current microsecond accelerator with coaxial magnetically insulated diode are investigated. High resistance to exploding emission is shown to allow to use heated tungsten wire grids as safety screening electrodes
