Dynamical realization of the linear sigma model in quantum chromodynamics

Description
A recently suggested mechanism for the spontaneous breakdown of chiral symmetry in QCD is applied to investigate the spectrum of scalar mesons. It is shown that the mechanism leads to a dynamical realization in QCD of the linear sigma model
