Superconductivity in the Lasub(1.2-x)Eusub(x)Mo6S8 pseudoternary system

Description
Measurements of the superconducting critical temperature (Tsub(c)) under pressure and of the upper critical magnetic field (Hind(c2)) on the pseudoternary system Lasub(1.2-x)Eusub(x)Mo6S8 were made at temperatures above 1.2 K. Hydrostatic pressure (P) was found to lower Tsub(c) in the La-rich compounds and increase it in the Eu-rich compounds. Pressure induces superconductivity in the x >= 1.0 compounds which are not superconducting at P = 0. At zero pressure, an enhancement of the value of Hsub(c2) was observed for 0 < x <= 0.6. (orig.)
