Description

We discuss some cosmological implications of the hypothetical gauge boson associated with a new low energy U(1) symmetry with non-trivial mixing with the U(1) of electromagnetism. In particular we point out a new relation between the frequency dependent oscillation in the temperature of the cosmic microwave background radiation and primordial energy density fluctuations. It suggests a new way to look for cosmic anisotropies. (orig.)
