Description
For many years, hardness testing devices have been standardized and, concerning the basic process of static hardness testing, nothing has changed either. Nevertheless, novel approaches and methods in the field of materials testing can be reported time and again owing espec. to the advent of microelectronics combined with automation technology. In this context, hardness determination rose from a rather technological test method to an accepted science oriented towards application. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Seit vielen Jahren sind Haertepruefgeraete bereits genormt. Am Grundvorgang der statischen Haertepruefung hat sich auch nichts geaendert. Dennoch ist insbesondere durch den Einzug der Mikroelektronik in Verbindung mit der Automatisierungstechnik auch auf diesem klassischen Gebiet der Materialpruefung immer wieder von Neuheiten zu berichten. In diesem Zusammenhang stieg die Bestimmung der Haerte von einem doch mehr technologischen Pruefverfahren zu einer anerkannten anwendungsorientierten Wissenschaft auf. (orig.)Additional details
