The author of this popular level article describes what he feels was bad forecasting on the part of Ontario Hydro for the energy needs of Ontario from 1970 to about the year 2000. Among the worst forecasts, he states, were in the nuclear-related industries for example, the heavy water plants and Darlington Nuclear Generating Station
