Improvement of ordinary mild steel (St3) strength
Creators
Description
Ways of improving ordinary mild steel (St3) strength by selecting heat treatment or strain hardening conditions are considered. Temperature of austenization or rolling termination in (α+γ)-region, strain degree and colling rate are the main parameters, which variation may provide the steel necessary structure state and required combination of properties. Mechanical properties of St3 welded jointed after strain hardening practically dont differ from base metal properties
