Pion condensed matter at high densities: Equation of state and stellar models

Description

Equations of state for the ground state of matter at nuclear densities and above are derived, including the effects of a condensed charged pion wave. Nonrotating neutron star models are constructed using these equations of state, and their observational significance is discussed
