Calculation and Simulation tools used in ENUSA for the development of new products and services

This paper presents some of the calculation and simulation tools that are currently in use (or under development) in ENUSA, by showing several applications and the results so far obtained with them. The objective is to simulate in an integrated way, through the use of different tools (mechanics, thermo-hydraulics, neutronics, etc.), the fresh and spent fuel assembly performance as well as the performance of those elements that interact with it: reactor environment, handling tools, canisters. The endeavor made in this way will improves and simplifies the development of changes in the fuel assembly design and in its management in the reactor, as well as for example upgrades in the manufacturing processes.
