Phonon dispersion curve of transition metal: a pseudopotential approach

Description
The pseudopotential technique has been used as a tool for the evaluation of the lattice dynamics of tungsten. The normal modes of vibration of this crystal depend strongly on their electronic structures and anomalous features are related to the electronic properties. Taking into account, the hybridization effect in terms of d - state radius dependent effective mass, most of the anomalies of the phonon spectrum of tungsten are evaluated and found to be in good agreement with the experiment.
