The paper Experience and Main Stages of Construction of a RW Repository in the North-West Russia By Nikolai Lobanov from Russian Research Institute of Industrial Geology. The paper assessed the volume and characteristics of RW in North-West Russia intended for the final isolation in a regional repository. The effort to create such facility was at the stage of development of the regulatory system to exclude duplication, provide integrity and consistency of documents. The paper described the required documentation for geological studies and project implementation. The experience gained from an earlier executed project - planning of a RW disposal facility at the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago would be used for development of the regional RW disposal facility.
