Noise level analysis of secondary cooling system on Kartini reactor

Description

The operation of the Kartini Reactor creates noise in the reactor building. Operators operating the secondary cooling system get a direct effect from the consequences of noise levels. This research aims to analyze the noise level of the secondary cooling system to the workers. Data collection was performed on 16 point measurements using TM-101 Sound Level Meter. The results showed that the noise level received by workers in the area when pump 1 operates average of 85.08 dBA where the value is above the Threshold Limit (NAB) according to Decree of Minister of Manpower Kep / 51 / MEN / 1999 which is 85 dBA / 8 hours and when pump 3 operates below the NAB with an average of 77.89 dBA.
