Amplification and super-luminosity on B-X and C-A transitions of excimer molecules XeCl* and XeBr* excited only nuclear pumping

Description

The results of experimental studies of Ar-Xe-CCl4 and Ar-Xe-C2HBrClF3 (fluorotane) dense gas mixtures luminescence excited by the products of the nuclear reaction 235U (n, f) are presented. The spectral, temporal, and lasing characteristics of such gas mixtures with a concentration of about 1015 mol/cm3 of CCl4 and C2HBrClF3 molecules were measured. At a specific energy deposition into the gas of about 2 kW/cm3, an increase in the emission of the B-X bands of the XeCl* molecules (λmax=308 nm), XeBr* (λmax=282 nm), and super-luminosity at the C-A transition of the XeCl* molecule (λmax=352 nm) were received

Abstract (Russian)

Приводятся результаты экспериментальных исследований люминесценции плотных газовых смесей Ar-Xe-CCl4 и Ar-Xe-C2HBrClF3 (фторотан), возбуждаемых продуктами ядерной реакции 235U (n, f). Измерены спектральные, временные и генерационные характеристики таких газовых смесей с концентрацией 1015 mol/cm3 молекул ССl4 и C2HBrClF3. В этих смесях при удельном энерговкладе в газ приблизительно 2 кВт/см3 наблюдается усиление излучения В-Х полос молекул XeCl* (λmax=308 нм), XeBr* (λmax=282 нм) и сверхсветимость на C-A переходе молекулы XeCl* (λmax=352 нм)
