Decontamination of radioactive P32 and I131 from aircraft and car surfaces by detergent compositions

Description
Sheets from aircrafts and cars having the same surfaces were contaminated with solutions of radioactive phosphorus salts and solutions of radioactive iodine salts. Different compositions from synthetic detergents and locally available complexing salts were prepared and their efficiencies in decontaminating the sheets were measured under the same conditions. The most effective compositions were those in which 'Berol Lanco' and 'Nestabon' were used. (orig.)

Flugzeug- und Autobleche mit gleichen Oberflaechen wurden mit radioaktiven Phosphor- und Jodsalzloesungen kontaminiert. Verschiedene Waschmittelformulierungen und auf dem lokalen Markt verfuegbare Komplexiersalze wurden eingesetzt und deren Effektivitaet bei der Dekontamination der Bleche wurde unter jeweils gleichen Bedingungen gemessen. Die effektivsten Formulierungen waren diejenigen, in denen 'Berol Lanco' und 'Nestabon' verwendet wurden. (orig.)Additional details
