Description
One of the goals of relativistic heavy ion collisions is to create quark gluon plasma (QGP) and to understand the quantum chromodynamic (QCD) phase transition. Several experiments have been performed at Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS), Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS), Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Some future experiments are also planned at Facility for Anti-proton and Ion Research (FAIR), NICA etc. Both experimental and theoretical investigations are on to analyse the spectra of particles (photons, leptons and hadrons). In this talk, the study of strangeness in exploring the QCD phase diagram would be discussed. (author)
