Development of ERL-based high-average power infrared free-electron laser

Description
The High Energy Accelerator Research Organization is developing a high-average power mid-infrared FEL using an energy recovery linac test accelerator (compact ERL) with competitive funding from the NEDO project "Development of high-brightness, high-efficiency next-generation laser technology". The FEL will be used as a light source to build the processing database necessary for the development of highly efficient industrial lasers. (author)

高エネルギー加速器研究機構は,NEDO プロジェクト「高輝度・高効率次世代レーザー技術開発」からの競争的資金を得て,エネルギー回収型リニアック試験加速器(コンパクト ERL)を用いた高平均出力な中赤外 FEL を開発中である。この FEL は高効率な産業用レーザーの開発に必要な加工データベースを構築するための光源として利用される予定である。(著者)Additional details
