Measurement of fast neutron spectrum outside beam port by Li-6 semiconductor spectrometer
Description
Abstract The neutron spectrum outside a beam port of the Tsing Hua Open-pool Reactor (THOR) has been obtained by using a 6LiF sandwich-type semiconductor neutron spectrometer. Only those neutrons between 0.5 and 8MeV have been shown. The spectrum falls off exponentially above 4.5 MeV. The valley in the spectra at about 3.5 MeV may be due to the elastic scattering resonance of oxygen at that energy.
