This standard establishes the requirements for transportation, receipt, storage and handling of important items for the safety of Nucleoelectric Plants, which deal with the protection and control necessary to ensure that the quality of such items is preserved from the end of manufacturing until their incorporation to the Plant; It presents in its scope the requirements that must be met by the organization or organizations responsible for carrying out the packaging, transportation, receipt and storage of such items regarding planning, procedures and instructions, results of tests and inspections, personnel qualifications, test equipment and measurement, preventive conservation and classification of items
